Planner Falls in Love With Ballroom After Seeing Actual Ceiling Height
Venue's 'intimate jewel box' loses out to a room that can fit the event.

THE SITE INSPECTION — The venue sales team began with mood lighting and the word 'intimate.' Planner Noor began with the room dimensions and a question about where four hundred people would go.
The jewel-box ballroom offered charm, heritage and a pillar directly in front of the stage. The proposed solution was to describe the pillar as an architectural feature.
Then Noor saw the larger room: clear sightlines, usable ceiling height and doors wide enough for the equipment. She asked to be left alone with the floor plan. Colleagues described the moment as unusually emotional.
The venue offered an upgrade to the bridal suite. Noor requested a rigging diagram instead. Romance, she said, is complicated. A big ballroom with sensible loading access is not.
