Advance Lead Knows Every Door in Venue, Still Not Listed as Essential
VIP's smooth arrival depends on the person who arrived yesterday.

THE SERVICE CORRIDOR — Before the VIP arrived, advance lead Sam had walked the route, checked the holding room and established which elevator would actually open onto the correct floor.
He had also found the locked door, the missing sign and the delivery blocking the alternate entrance. None appeared on the client's beautifully drawn arrival map.
When the delegation swept in, a publicist asked Sam to move out of the photograph. He moved, redirected two people away from the freight lift and signaled that the room was ready.
The VIP complimented the seamless arrival. Sam was already checking the departure route. Asked how he felt about never appearing in the picture, he said he had several feelings, all scheduled for after load-out.
